Please provide (i) a letter of motivation in which you offer insight why this summer school interests you in general, how the summer school relates to your previous and ongoing studies as well as which aspects of the summer school interest you the most (450-500 words). Please also provide (ii) current Transcripts of Records for information on your academic achievements, (iii) a current CV and (iv)  a copy of your most advanced English Language certificate (test or as part of school or university education) as the Summer School will be conducted in English and therefore requires you to be proficient in said language in order to participate. Please indicate if and how you are engaging in community activities relating to strengthening diversity, participation of minorities, multilingualism, anti-discrimination or comparable as this will be viewed positively with regard to your application.

International Applicants should hail from these courses of study: Religious Studies, Islamic Studies, Iranian Studies, Linguistics, Cultural Studies (or comparable).

They should be in enrolled in either a Master program or a PhD program at a University that has a structured collaboration with the University of Cologne.
