Application
Please provide (i) a letter of motivation in which you offer insight why this Spring School interests you in general, how the Spring School relates to your previous and ongoing studies as well as which aspects of the Spring School interest you the most (450-500 words). Please also provide (ii) a copy of your student ID, (iii) a current CV, (iv) a current Transcripts of Records for information on your academic achievements and (iv) a copy of your most advanced English Language certificate (test or as part of school or university education) as the Spring School will be conducted in English and therefore requires you to be proficient in said language in order to participate. Please indicate if and how you are engaging in community activities relating to strengthening diversity, participation of minorities, multilingualism, anti-discrimination or comparable as this will be viewed positively with regard to your application.

International applicants should hail from these courses of study: Religious Studies, Islamic Studies, Iranian Studies, Linguistics, Romance Studies, Diversity Studies, Cultural Studies (or comparable). They should be in enrolled in either a Master program or a PhD program at a University that has a structured collaboration with the University of Cologne.
The number of spots is limited. The selection by the committee will be based on merit and fit as described in the letter of motivation.
